DATA WE COLLECT
Account Information
When you sign in through Discord OAuth, we receive and store the following information from your Discord account: your unique user identifier, email address, display name, and avatar URL. This data is necessary to create and maintain your BeamGarage account and to attribute your uploaded configurations to you.
User-Generated Content
When you upload vehicle configurations, we store the configuration data itself along with any title, description, vehicle model selection, category, and tags you provide. We also record ratings you submit for other users' configurations. This content is associated with your account and displayed publicly on the platform.
Usage Information
We collect basic usage data including download counts for configurations and timestamps indicating when content was created or modified. We do not use third-party analytics services or tracking pixels, and we do not collect detailed browsing behavior data.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We process your personal data for the following purposes: to provide and maintain the BeamGarage service, including user authentication, configuration hosting, and community features; to attribute uploaded content to your account and display your public profile information; to enable community interaction through ratings and content discovery; and to communicate with you about service-related matters when necessary.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
Under the GDPR, we process your data based on the following legal grounds:
Processing necessary to provide you with our services as outlined in our Terms of Service, including account creation, configuration storage, and community features.
Where you have given explicit consent for specific processing activities, such as receiving optional communications.
Processing necessary for our legitimate interests, including service improvement and security measures, where these do not override your fundamental rights.
DATA SHARING
We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers: We use Supabase as our database and authentication provider. Supabase processes your data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements that comply with GDPR requirements. Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union.
Public Content: When you upload configurations, your display name, avatar, and the content you share become publicly visible to other users of the platform. This is inherent to the community-sharing nature of the service.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.
YOUR RIGHTS UNDER GDPR
As a data subject under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our services. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes.
Publicly shared configurations may be retained in an anonymized form after account deletion to preserve the integrity of the community resource, unless you specifically request complete erasure of all your content.
